General Membership Meeting
May 30, 2010
Members Present: Reflected on sign in sheet.
President, Don Wheeler, called the meeting to order at 1 p.m.
The minutes from the September 6, 2009 General Membership meeting were read. Mike Burleson moved, seconded by Joe Zannetti, to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
Treasurer?s Report: There is a total of $$$$ in the Maintenance and Improvement fund, $$$$ in the Money Market account, and $$$$ in the checking account. All bills have been paid to date. (A detailed Treasurer?s report is on file with the original minutes and with the Treasurer.) Lynda Quade moved, seconded by Paul Wheeler, to accept the Treasurer?s report. Motion carried.
Old Business:
-Shutting the clubhouse down for the winter from January 2 until March 22 saved about $2200.
-When starting up the campground this spring there were no water line breaks when the water was turned on.
Committee reports:
-Site Inspection - Lot inspections are ongoing. There are no major problems at this time.
-Bylaws ?
There was discussion on amending Article VI, Section 1, Sub-Section B on lawn mowing. It was moved by Leigh Wacker, seconded by Joe Fogolini to change the wording in part to read Lots must be mowed by the Monday before each of the summer holidays and at a charge of $50 per unmowed lot. There were 59 yes and 13 no votes. Motion carried.
Pool rules were reviewed.
Improvement permits reviewed.
Pet rules reviewed.
Trespassing on properties to our north reviewed.
-Activities ? See newsletter and website for information. There will be a Garage Sale on Halloween weekend (September 25, 2010) in the campground only.
-Buildings and Grounds ? No major projects this year. Repairs have been made to the pool.
-Finance ? Budget is on track.
New Business:
-There was discussion on a TV and Cable for the clubhouse. There was no motion to purchase.
-Anyone interested in having internet contact Andy Montalbano. It is $50 to have it hooked up and $30 for the season.
-There will be elections in September for Secretary, Treasurer, and one Trustee position.
-The ash trees in the campground are dying. Start looking at trees to replace the ash trees on your lots.
-Boat storage at the U and I Club is now $150 per year.
-There was discussion about getting ping pong table, foosball, air hockey to have in clubhouse. If anyone wants to donate for the clubhouse and will see how it goes. If there are problems, then they will have to remove.
There was no further business or discussion. Paul Wheeler moved, seconded by Andy Montalbano, to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 1:55 p.m. The next General Membership Meeting will be held on September 5, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Lutheran Church in Kinde.
