General Membership Meeting The fall general membership meeting was held on September 4, 2005. Seventy-five memberships were represented. Hi-lights from the meeting are as follows: There were several changes made to the campground rules/regulations. An updated copy will be sent to all members prior to the beginning of the 2006 camping season. The finance committee presented the budget/financial proposals for 2006. The following proposals were approved without opposition. In lieu of pay, the treasurer?s maintenance fee shall be waived each year. Joe Sampson?s maintenance fee for 1 lot shall be waived for 2006. A maintenance shed will be constructed for a cost of $2000. And, the maintenance fee for the 2006 camping season shall remain at $550. The activities committee reported on the purchases that they made with the monies received from raffles and pancake breakfasts. Fifty folding chairs and 4 tables, new basketball poles, hoops, and nets, swing/play set, electricity and disco ball for the Kamper kitchen, and supplies for the breakfasts and parties were purchased. Building/grounds committee reported that the painting of the bathhouse, nature trail, horseshoe pits, street signs, ? of the water valve shut-offs, pool shelter, roadwork, and the southeast and southwest corner drains have all been completed. Up-coming projects include on-going road repairs, seal the blacktop in front of the clubhouse, complete the water valve shut-offs, removal the cement slabs, new benches for common areas, and rock removal on the side of the hill to improve the campground. Members have the use of and can reserve the clubhouse/facilities for family gatherings, but they cannot monopolize them for long periods of time. A committee was formed to work on the pros and cons of the website. The committee members are Jan Put, Andy Montalbano, Keith Pettit, and Carol Shortridge. Two trustee seats were open for election. Jim Parker and Tim Miner were elected to two-year terms. The membership gave unanimous permission to the board of officers to pursue legal consultation/action against the PABC for monies owed the membership and to pursue getting the deed to the campground turned over to the membership. The combination to the clubhouse has been changed to 0345. Please do not give the combination to non-members. There was discussion about hunting on the west end of the campground. The membership voted that there is be no hunting on campground properties. There was discussion about the age limit for supervision at the pool. The membership voted and the age rule for the pool remains as written in the rules and regulations. The next general membership meeting will be Saturday, May 20, 2006. * * * * * * * * Maintenance Fee Maintenance fees of $550 per lot are due on November 1, 2005; however, a grace period of 30 days will be in effect for this year. Fees that are not paid at that time will be subject to a $10 per month late fee. Make checks payable to:
